Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SSATANI (operating at ssatanimx.com, hereinafter "we", "us", or "the Project") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data provided by users of this website. This policy is issued in compliance with Mexico's Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP), published on 5 July 2010, and its Regulations.

SSATANI is a community education project focused on financial inclusion for informal market vendors in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. It does not constitute a financial institution and does not offer financial products or services.

What personal data we collect and how

2. Personal Data Collected

We collect only the personal data that you voluntarily provide when using this website. This may include:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Content of messages submitted through the contact form
  • Technical data automatically collected by the server, including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and pages visited (collected via server logs and analytics tools, if enabled)

We do not collect sensitive personal data as defined by Article 3, Section VI of the LFPDPPP (such as racial or ethnic origin, health status, religious beliefs, biometric data, or financial information beyond what is voluntarily shared in a message).

We do not collect data from minors under 18 years of age. If we become aware that a minor has submitted personal data, we will delete it promptly.

Why we use your data and the legal basis for doing so

3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is used for the following primary purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
  • To coordinate requests for promoter visits or program participation
  • To manage communications related to the SSATANI educational project

Secondary purposes (which you may object to at any time) include:

  • Sending informational updates about the project's activities, if you have indicated interest
  • Internal analysis of website usage to improve content and navigation

The legal basis for processing is your consent, provided at the moment you submit the contact form by checking the privacy acceptance checkbox, in accordance with Article 8 of the LFPDPPP.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes

4. Data Transfers and Third Parties

We do not transfer, sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data with the following categories of service providers solely to operate this website and the project:

  • Web hosting providers, for the purpose of storing and serving website files
  • Email service providers, for the purpose of receiving and sending correspondence
  • Analytics service providers, if analytics cookies are enabled with your consent

All such service providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed and to maintain appropriate security measures. No international transfers of personal data occur beyond what is inherent in the use of internationally hosted cloud services, and such transfers are subject to standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

We may disclose personal data if required to do so by a competent Mexican authority under applicable law, including the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI).

Your data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purposes

5. Data Retention

Personal data submitted through the contact form is retained for a maximum of 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. Technical log data is retained for a maximum of 12 months. After these periods, data is deleted or anonymized.

You have the right to access, correct, cancel, and oppose the use of your data (ARCO rights)

6. Your Rights (ARCO)

In accordance with Articles 22 through 29 of the LFPDPPP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: To know what personal data we hold about you and how it is being used.
  • Rectification: To request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Cancellation: To request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or when you withdraw consent.
  • Opposition: To object to the processing of your data for secondary purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, please send a written request to info@ssatanimx.com including: your full name, a copy of a valid identification document, a clear description of the right you wish to exercise, and any additional information that may assist us in locating your data. We will respond within 20 business days of receiving your request, as required by Article 24 of the LFPDPPP.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the INAI (www.inai.org.mx) if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.
